Is tattoo really trendy or there is more to it?

Virtually forty percent of the world population are having tattoos on their body. It looks beautiful and trendy, isn’t it? Some people tattooed their body due to certain reasons best known to them. Different tattoos with different shapes, sizes, diagrams, designs, animal drawings, zodiac signs, sketches and other varieties abound in every country.

The tattoo industry is booming and they are creating a lot of artistic designs to sustain the trend. Tattoos are now being weighed as a way of showing how you feel about something or to get noticed. Tattoo professionals are getting modern equipment to improve their work and satisfy their clients. Tattoos are in vogue and it is drawing a lot of attention as the young and old now take it as fashion. Irrespective of religion, culture, community, nation, family or group, tattoo is as common as anything.

Some put on tattoos of a dragon, lion, scorpion, butterfly, dead people, flower, snake, signals, occultic symbols, animate and inanimate designs with colours. They either use it to remind themselves of something or use it to express their present status. These tattoos are usually symbolic in one way or the other to the person while others get tattooed because it is in vogue.

Either way the society sees tattoo, I want to make it known that tattoos are more to what the eyes could see. Tattoos are demonic and as well have a spiritual effect on the person. I would rather say that tattoo is not fun as a lot of people think, it is a disgusting way to tell God that He never designed you well. Psalm 139:14 says,

I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvellous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.

If we are fearfully and wonderfully made then why are people having strange tattoos to beautify themselves? They are not actually beautifying themselves, they are inviting demons as guests.  No argument, fact or theory can persuade anyone with a level of spirituality to know that tattoos are from the pit of hell. Tattoos are not to the glory of God. Leviticus 19:28 says,

‘You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the Lord.’

Someone might say there is nothing wrong with tattoo, that I am quoting out of context. That’s alright, but I cannot be convinced no matter the facts to embrace tattoo as trendy but I see it as an evil wind blowing across the globe.

The devil is using a lot of means in luring people to his net. The devil makes the tattoo look harmless on your skin but beneath what you can see is a web of distraction and disobedience to the will of God. Be wise.
