Who told you?

Who told you God has forsaken you? Who told you, you would die before the week runs out? Who told you that you will never make it? Who told you that you have a dull brain? Who told you to commit suicide? Who asked you to stop praising God? Who discouraged you to leave your parents and join the gangsters? Who told you, you are nobody? Who told you to give up on yourself and give up on God? Who told you not to attend services any more? Who told you to stop attending fellowship and go for ungodly parties? Who told you your life is worthless? Who told you, you will never become great someday? Who told you, you are not qualified to be elected a governor? Who told you, you can’t live a righteous life no matter what you do? Who told you to quit your divine call? Who told you to ignore the teachings of Christ as fallacy? Who told you that the doctor’s report is final? Who told you the sickness will kill you? Who told you that you have failed before and you are going to fail again? Who told you your story would end the way others did? Who told you, you are good for nothing? Who asked you to look down on yourself? Who brainwashed you into thinking that God does not have any plan for you?

I want to know who told you all those things you have believed all these years. Who made you to believe all those negative reports?

If they told you, you will die before your time, tell them Psalm 118: 17 says:

I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

If they told you help will not come to you, tell them Psalm 121:1 says:

I will lift up my eyes to the hills – from where comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.

If you have been told God has forsaken you, tell them the Scripture says in Joshua 1:5

No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you , I will not leave you nor forsake you.

Have you been told that your life will not change for good. No, tell them what Job 14:14 says:

If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my hard service I will wait, till my change comes.

Who told you that you will experience shame all the days of your life, tell them the Bible says in Isaiah 61:7,

Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be theirs.

The problem is not what they told you. The problem is not who said it. The problem is not the circumstances surrounding you. The problem is that you believed them rather than believing what God says. The problem is that you don’t know what the Bible says concerning that particular situation you found yourself.

The problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude towards the problem because your attitude determines your altitude, your altitude determines your magnitude and your magnitude determines the multitude that will follow you.

You determine how your story ends. The choice is yours. The ball is in your court, it is either you keep the ball rolling or allow somebody to take it from you. Never allow the words of men to define you. Never allow the words of your friends to ridicule you. Never allow the medical report to take advantage of you. Never call it a day when you are still breathing. Never give up on yourself no matter the situation. Never say what will be will be. Never compare yourself to others; you are what God says who are. Never abandon your faith because of a mere trouble that will just fizzle out in no distant time. Never be like Esau who gave away his birth right because of a moment of hunger. Never think that you are the worst person on earth. Never try to succumb to peer pressure to do the wrong things. Never blame God for anything. Never be like Eve who only wanted to taste the apple and tasted banishment. Never ignore the power of salvation which Christ gave us.

You have the power to decide how the story ends. You are a book written by God with pages and chapters for pain and for gain. The day you close the book and start writing a different story, your story changes.

Write how your story ends. Someday somebody will start from where you stopped.
