Right from the days of John the Baptist till now I have seen errors in families, communities, province, nations, churches, states and in diaspora how men has been bondaged into errors of great magnitude but ignored to change the wrong pattern. What do I mean?
Certain things are now a routine, becoming a vicious cycle in your life that you now think it is normal, normal in the sense that you don’t know or bother to ask questions anymore.
Let me give you instances: any time you attend interviews for a job, you are shortlisted as a successful candidate but instead of employing you they choose another person. It is an error.
Your quotation as a contractor is always approved by different companies but at the point of giving you contract, they tell you, you are not qualified. It is an error.
Every time you apply for a visa, loan, scholarship, partnership, sponsorship or funds, they are always turned down, why? While other people that tendered their proposals are not better in terms of requirements. It is an error.
You always try to keep relationships but at the long run they break your heart. It is an error.
Any time you invest on a project at the time for it to kick off it collapses. It is an error.
Every year or in a particular month you bury a beloved one. It is an error.
You have married severally but it breaks up when you think it is all settled, it is an error.
Since five years or more you started your ministry you had twenty members, they are still twenty now, it is an error.
As a young lady, men propose to you like never before but non has come to marry you, it is an error.
You have been to many auditions that you have lost count, you end up being a runners up instead of the winner, it is an error.
Your dad and mum suffered an ailment and died. Your siblings are going through the same and the doctor has told you point blank that you are the next to die, it is an error.
This was exactly the same error Jabez encountered in, 1 Chronicles 4:9,10. He was more honorable than his brothers still poverty was his bedmate. It was when he cried to God to change his story that he was blessed beyond measure.
That was the error Abraham and his son Isaac faced and prayed to God for the fruit of the womb.
Jephthah was the son of a harlot and his brothers drove him away without an inheritance. He prayed and God restored him (Judges 11).
What more shall I say of Daniel who resisted the worship of a god and he prayed and God delivered him from the lions.
You have to get down to your knees and pray fervently that any error in your life that is now becoming a terror should be terminated by the power of the God.
