Without your skill, you till.

Aspire to acquire the desire which you admire, if in the process you perspire, don’t retire but refire to acquire your desire. Whatever you are doing be unique. Find a way of making yourself outstanding.

1 Samuel 16:18 reads, “Then one of the servants answered and said, ” Look I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, who is skillful in playing, a mighty man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech and a handsome person; and the Lord is with him”.

David’s skills brought him before the president (King Saul). It means he was a skilled musician, skilled in fighting battles, skilled as a motivational speaker, no wonder he wrote the book of Psalms. He was skilled in maintaining his looks and upon all he had sublime faith in God.

What is your skill? It is meant to lift you to the top. A skill is what gives you an edge in the midst of others even if you are doing the same thing. God imbedded a skill in you but you neglected it and that is why you are suffering. There are millions of skills I know, but the ability to know yours is another thing.

For instance, anybody can be a good footballer but not a good dribbler. You are a good cook doesn’t make you the best in a competition. You are an economist doesn’t make you a solver of economic meltdown. You are a medical doctor doesn’t make you better than the person that produced the vaccine you are using. Being a lawyer doesn’t make you more judgemental than king Solomon. As a professor in computer science you are not better than Bill Gates of the Microsoft. Being a president still didn’t prove you to be the best of brains.

You toil day and night like Peter in Luke chapter 5 because you have not asked God to help you discover it. Peter thought his greatest skill was in fishing. When Jesus came to the scene He told Peter that his greatest skill is in catching men.

Your skill makes you pronounced and announced. It takes you round the world. It gives you courage and feeling of confidence that you are not just a mere mortal but a portal to the world.

Without your skill, you till and have nothing to fill in the will of God.
