I sat down to analyze what people say, how they say it, who they say it to and when they say it. I discovered that most of what people say depends on what happens to them at the moment.
Do you know that what you say has a way of affecting your destiny positively or negatively? In troubled times, in heartbreaks, in challenges, in affliction, in uncomfortable situations, what do you say? Sometimes you curse the day you were born, you curse your children at every slightest provocation, you say vulgar and destructive words, you abuse people unnecessarily, you speak against your life, you say to yourself, ‘I am finished, my life is in shambles, I can’t make it, I am cursed ….’
Change your confession if you want progression, change your words if you want to change your world. The words you speak are powerful. They don’t just disappear into thin air, they are recorded in the spirit and manifest later when you must have forgotten.
Matthew 12:37 says, “For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned”.
Spoken words are not ordinary, they are spirits in spoken word. It was by a spoken word that the world was created, it was by a spoken word that everything you see today came into existence. Look at what Jesus said in John 6:63 says,
“…….. the words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life”.
Simply speaking, the words we speak are spirit-oriented. They bring life or destruction depending on what we say. When in trouble say, ‘It is well‘, in setbacks say, ‘I am lifted, when nobody seems to help you say, ‘The Lord is my helper‘, in financial challenges say, ‘I am living in prosperity‘, when in death scenario say, ‘I am not deing now, I will fulfill my purpose on earth‘, in lack say, ‘The Lord shall provide‘.
It sounds funny, ridiculous, crazy isn’t it? It looks bizarre and unprovable but the fact remains that everything visible and invisible is a product of an utterance. The carnal mind does not understand the things of the spirit. Your life cannot change for good if you still speak the wrong things to yourself. There is power in your tongue. The power to create the invisible is in your tongue. Some of the things you may be suffering now may be as a result of the negative words of your parents, spouse, friends or relatives you offended. Yes, that’s the truth. If you have seriously offended anyone ask for pardon.
Change your confession. Speak positive words no matter the circumstance. Whatever you want to see today speak to it, don’t stop saying it, keep on saying it.
Your word is your sword, your sword cuts the negative cord. If you can speak the right word, you can create the right world.
Soooo true! And words not only with others, rather our own internal dialogues as well

Many aptly spoken (written) words here! Great reminder of the power of our words. Once spoken, they cannot be taken back, so they need to be uplifting, affirming, encouraging. Blessings to you!

Great word! God spoke the world into existence. Jesus is called the Word. Spoken words are powerful. God uses words to meet our needs, as you said we need to speak those same words that God speaks over us. Thanks for sharing.

This is an excellent post. Our attitude toward life definitely influences our actions. Too many people though believe empty affirmations — something along the lines of “I will be wealthy. I will get that promotion. I will marry a rich man.” — influence the universe, as if the atmosphere around us were a living thing concerned for our welfare.
There is, in fact, a living and personal God. In His great mercy, He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins. As Scripture tells us, “In the beginning was the Word. And the Word was with God and the Word was God” (John 1: 1). If we choose to give our lives to Him, then truly we have chosen the right Word. ❤

Your words are so true. Scientists have found so much evidence and they’re bound to find more from the bible. It makes no sense in believing in evolution. They claim humans came from primates when they know apes remain apes, monkeys remain monkeys. A fundamental law of all living things that is proof from the bible and from science. So, it’s good to read your blog based on the bible. Have a safe and happy Easter.

It reminds me of Job’s response when calamity struck—“The Lord gives, and the Lord takes away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”
We should rejoice in Him no matter what comes our way. Speak life & hope into darkness.
