Your skill is a call from God. Your skill is not only meant for entertainment or showmanship, your skill is an assignment from God to help humanity and to serve Him. I know you are asking yourself why a skill should be termed as a “call” from God. Let me shock you!
Exodus 35:30 – 32 says, “And Moses said to the children of Israel, “See, the Lord has called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; “and He has filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom and understanding, in knowledge and all manner of workmanship, “to design artistic works, to work in gold and silver and bronze …..
Is that not wonderful? God had to put His Spirit into Bezaleel to use his skill to build the church of God. Any skill God gives a man is for His glory. You become ill with the skill when you channel it into things that lead to self destruction. It is not meant for wordly things; it is meant for the emancipation of mankind. When you don’t channel it to positive measures, God can take away the skill without your consent.
I have seen men who made impact with their skills only for them to crumble like a pack of cards. Their success stories become dainted with immoral lifestyles and they tend to live on past glory. At the time to enjoy the benefits of their skills they found nothing but fear, uncertainty and poverty.
Do you have skills in administration? Use your administrational skills and help the church. Are you skilled in singing? Sing to the glory of God. Are you skilled in financial analysis? Use it and raise funds to run the needs of the church. Do you have skills in discerning the word of God? Now is the time to teach and raise disciples for Christ. I implore you to decide today to use your God-given skills for positive change in any area of jurisdiction you find yourself.
Go to a serene atmosphere where there will be no distraction. Watch the birds of the air, the ants and their activities, the spider on how it builds its cobweb, the insects that fly around. Without being told they all have their skills on how to feed, attack, defend and move without hindrance. Who taught them how to use their skills? The reason is; they utilize the skills given to them by God. God is waiting for you, answer the call. Your skill is needed URGENTLY!
Your skill is God’s will to the hill. Discover your skill in the house of God and never kill it.
Yes, I TOTALLY agree! Ty for this post! Amen.

I think the Father has blessed me with a portion of wisdom. Sometimes I wonder is there a sign on my head or my back why people come and feel comfortable sharing their problems in their life with me.. I dony ask their business at all, they just throw it up on me and then I share the wisdom which has been put upon me with them and they smile once more. I end up dancing off their problems with an African drum beats to rebuke those stories I hear.

Amen!! Amen!! Many people don’t know this. They believe its them themselves. I was one of them until He let me know the truth. But too I had to Surrender my life and heart too Him. It is why we who do know need to let them know. I tell people don’t bury what Jesus has given you. It’s like “The Five Talents In Matthew 25:14:25. I enjoyed how you shared about the “serene atmosphere “. Our Heavenly Father is Amazing!! and More. God Bless you. π

So true. I think of all the skills the Israelites had that enabled them to build the Tabernacle for God. It’s so important to seek how God wants you to use the skills he has blessed you with to further the Kingdom of God.

Writer Erma Bombeck said, “When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, ‘I used everything you gave me’. We’re made in His image, and God is above all a creator. I’ve JUST started blogging and am absolutely energized by it, which I have always believed is a sign that the Holy Spirit is at work – when your work is a pleasure and more effortless than the things God has not called you to do. For me, that would be child care. I am confident that God has NOT called me to a ministry of child care! π This was a message I needed to read today. Thanks for the encouragement!
