God can ask you to marry a prostitute.

I have discovered over time that God can ask you to do anything. It will look so disgusting to do but His will and not your will must be done.

God can ask you to leave your father’s house, country or your loved ones for a reason just like he told Abraham and he obeyed (Genesis 12:1).

God can make you lose your job for you to get a better one. He can bring obstacles in your way to save your life. God can make you separate from your best friend just to make you focus. God can destroy the business you have laboured to build just to show you a business that you would do and have peace of mind. God can stop that breakthrough from coming so early just to draw you closer to Himself. God can even allow that medical issue to continue just to make you pray more. God doesn’t really derive joy from it but He sometimes uses it to bring us closer to Himself.

In 1 Samuel 1:5 says, ” …. although the Lord has closed her womb”.

God shut the womb of Hannah for an appointed time. At last she gave birth to prophet Samuel. That is why God is God. You cannot judge Him or question Him. He makes everything to work for our good (Romans 8:28).

That was exactly what God did when He asked prophet Hosea to marry a harlot. How can you describe that?

Hosea 1:2 says, “When the Lord began to speak by Hosea, the Lord said to Hosea: “Go, take yourself a wife of harlotry, for the land has committed great harlotry by departing from the Lord”.

God asked him to do it but not to humiliate him. God was using it as a symbolic nature of how Israel abandoned Him.

One thing you need to know is that you have to be sure God asked you to do it. If you do it out of ignorance or carnality you will have yourself to blame.

What has God asked you to do but you refused because you think you can’t just do it? Do you know God can frustrate you because you refused to obey Him, for example, He frustrated Jonah when he disobeyed to go to Nineveh.

God gave you freewill but He never told you your will is better His will. If you don’t obey the will of God get ready for the wheel of uncertainty.

I pray may God’s will prevail in your life. Amen.

I like this one a lot.

God has a right to ask you to do anything.

God is good. Everything He does or asks, He does out of His own goodness and love.

I love this, so true. I love how you clarified that you better be sure you’re hearing from God and not using your flesh to justify sin. I’ve had a season of this the last year. I prayed and asked over and over for clarification, wisdom and confirmation from God because what he was asking went against everything I had thought I had known about divorce and marriage. I stepped forward and God continues to confirm by showing up and blessing me in big and small ways as I walk this painful journey.

31 Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.

32 For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him. Revelation 21:31,32

Even Though God gave us free will, his will still supersedes our will, his foolishness is wiser than the wisdom of the world. This is such a great post. Thanks for sharing.
