I saw a vision in the middle of the night where I knelt down in my room with my Bible in my hands and looked up to heaven. I saw that the days of this world were numbered according to prophecies foretold. A feeling of uneasiness encompassed me and I muttered some prayers into the atmosphere. The earth was thrown into confusion. Darkness came, the heavens shook for some time and suddenly came silence. The heavens were opened. It was as if I was watching a horror movie. Fear gripped me. I heard a voice say to me, “Tell them to prepare to go”. I woke up, turned on the lights and discovered I was sweating profusely. I told myself, ‘Assuming this vision happened now, a lot of people will be caught unawares like the days of Noah when they ate and drank till the flood caught up with them’.
My question to you is: ‘Are you prepared to go?’
Life is full of activities that we forget that death is a breathe away. We forget that every step we make and every day that comes, we get closer to the grave; we get closer to eternity. Death can come at any time. Irrespective of what you believe, the truth is, you will stand on the day of judgement to answer for your deeds on earth. On that day there will be no second chance.
In Revelation 22:12, Jesus said, “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work”.
What will be your reward? Where will you spend eternity? No one has a permanent residence or a permanent life insurance on earth. Day and night people are buried, funeral songs and mixed feelings pervade the air. It is turn by turn. One day it will be our turn to go. The only chance we have is NOW.
I ask myself, ‘What is life? Why do man chose to do evil when he has a little time to live in this empty world?
Ecclesiastics 2:11 says, “Then I looked on all the works that my hands had done and all the labour in which I had toiled; and indeed all was vanity and grasping for the wind. There was no profit under the sun”.
King Solomon described it as vanity. We are going to leave our loved ones, friends, children, spouse, assets and colleagues some day to give account of our lives. Are you a lukewarm believer? Are you dwelling in unforgiveness? Is your life worldly in every sense of it? Are you still dwelling in drunkenness, lust, sexual immorality, secret sins, backbiting, hatred, violence, terrorism, pornography, masturbation, lesbianism, same sex marriage, ungodly parties, being vulgar and vile in nature?
I am not writing to condemn anyone, as Christ never condemned us but came to set us free, save us from unrighteousness and give us the grace of salvation. Remember when He comes the second time He is coming to judge. I implore you to examine your life in Christ and run the race of salvation with all carefulness and fear of God, lest at last you say, “Had I known”.
Life is too short to be wasted. Life is like vapor which disappears within some seconds. Make your life count for God. You are on earth on assignment, at the end you will submit it to the Master who decides if you passed or not.
If you have not given your life to Christ, do it now, tomorrow may be too late.
May you never be found wanting on the last day. May all your good works for Him speak for you. I pray you will never be left behind. God bless you.
